This movie's dvd includes several special features with unusual titles and they are not necessarily very interesting to watch though they are connected to the movie and its premise. Adoration is a unique, interesting, strange film of a boy who does a class presentation in which he reveals that his dad was a terrorist (later we find out that this is an assignment that is fictionalized with the encouragement of the teacher who later proves to be the former wife of his dad). He then goes online and has conversations with people who are under the impression that this story of his is true. In reality, his father and his mother died in a car accident due to inattentiveness by the father; the boy was told by his grandfather that the father had intended to kill his wife. A suspenseful film. 9/10

Atom Egoyan's fascinating sense of story telling surprises us once more with a film with a lot of depth and complex characters. A very original approach to the world of terrorism and discrimination. To understand Egoyan's films one has to go beyond the surface and dig deep down through the many layers his films have.

Atom Egoyan's latest film has a compelling story which draws you in. It's a complex film with many layers. It's about how a story of a near-terrorist attack told by a high school student involving his own personal history becomes a catalyst for debate about the nature of terrorism, prejudice, and how people use each other for their own motivations. I loved the use of a visual internet chat room as the Greek chorus commentary and the haunting violin score.

Tricky for its own sake, but I went with it. Never thought I'd like a Scott Speedman performance this much.

I thought I would like it, but I didn't enjoy it that much.
