undeniably stupid plot wise but stunning visually abe Lincoln vmpire hunter is an overall very fun movie to watch but may have a too serious tone for some

This movie was AWESOME!! If you rated this movie badly you either went into it thinking it was a stupid idea or wasnt expecting the movie it was meant to be. A vampire movie! That took place in the time of the civil war and Lincoln happen to have a secret life where he kicked vampire ass. This movie wasnt made to win oscars and impress dumb prissy critics like the tasteless guys who rated this movie on here, who expect waybl to much, who rate it like it was suppose to be real. It was made to display awesome visual effects strong acting scenes in a vampire movie with great imagination and it did just that. Abe was amazing with the axe! The vampires being part of the civil war was great. Go into this movie with an open imagination and have a blast. Ben Walker as Lincoln the vampire hunter was great he kicked ass.

As ludicrous as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was, it fulfilled its intended purpose: entertainment. I don't think it was the director's intention for this movie to have some deeply moving, extensive and elaborate backstory. I think it was just supposed to be awesome, gory, nonsensical, and violently fun. If you stop overanalyzing and just try to enjoy the movie for what it is, I can guarantee that you'll have as much fun watching it as I did.

This works BECAUSE it takes such a serious tone! Leaving outrage about the handling of Gettysburg aside, I totally bought into this quiet, determined axe-wielding version of our beloved 16th president, Abe Lincoln. This has become a movie I will watch every time it's on. Loved it!!
