Like the other movie I saw a few hours ago, beyond the positive message, the simplicity of its handling really seems to be aimed at an audience that doesn't expect to question anything beyond the surface and that in one way or another ends up making it ultimately unnecessary.

With a more streamlined script, or even fewer characters and more developed relationships, Abe could have made a real impact. As it stands, there are too many cooks in the kitchen.
