A atuaÃ§Ã£o que nos apresentou o ator que seria vencedor do oscar no ano seguinte. Pra quem tinha visto O DiÃ¡rio de Bridget Jones, ou Mamma Mia e nÃ£o tinha reparado o talento de Colin Firth, Direito de Amar, alÃ (C)m de ser um filme com uma trabalho de cores fantÃ¡stico, nos traz Colin numa atuaÃ§Ã£o perfeita.

Who said that the fashion people have style and no substance? Was suprised to learn that it was a debute film by the the fashion designer turned director Tom Ford (who also financed it). Stunning performance by Colin Firth who turned Mr Darcy into a closeted gay professor. A nice add on -the production design is by the same team that designed Mad Men. Mad Men star Jon Hamm has an uncredited voice cameo as the cousin of Jim, George's lover.

Tom Ford has created a masterpiece. The story is well thought out, emotional, with Colin Firth and the rest of the cast (Julianne Moore, Matthew Goode, Jon Kortajarena) performing at their best. A special nod to Nicholas Hoult, who brought such charm and wonder to the role of Kenny. This is not your average gay movie.
