It is one of the best movies. Although the background of the movie is completely different from mine and i was not that much used to western culture when i watched that movie. I really liked it. Screenplay was excellent with less dialogues.

For a long time I had only known that I liked #6 of the Decalogue, without knowing that there was a longer version of it that was made shortly after. This version eases the sharper edges of the Decalogue vignette, and adds a bittersweet ending which completes the circle of the watcher being watched, and the part of love which is voyeurism (or is it vice-versa). I am glad Grazyna Szapolowska managed to persuade Kieslowski to make this version. Something in my old cynical heart didn't accept the bitter, rather than bittersweet way the Decalogue episode ended. But perhaps real life is more like that, and that beautiful older woman doesn't quite realize at the end of the story that it was love, or love does exist after all.
