It's probably safe to say that the earnest A Scandal in Paris won't ever approach the level of acceptance accorded to All That Heaven Allows and Imitation of Life.

A classic old fashioned melodrama by Douglas Sirk about the fictionalized life of EugÃ¨ne FranÃ§ois Vidocq, the father of modern criminology. George Sanders plays Vidocq with a thick coating of upper crust British suaveness; confident, debonair, sophistication etc.
