Not a very good movie. I felt like it was a waste of time. There was really no character development. The main character was on drugs most of the time. I wanted to want to see him do well, but hard to get into that character. The story was not explained very well and most of it was foreign language so you really couldn't tell what was going on. Don't waste your time!!

You can feel the heat. You can feel the clamminess of the bodies. You can feel the rage of the central character... as a piece of experiential cinema, it's really, really overpowering.

The routines and rituals of prison life and the boxers' training regime create an almost hypnotic spectacle, defined by the give and take of sparring body shots and repeatedly massaged limbs.

Part Rocky, part Midnight Express, and part Beau Travail, this adaptation of Billy Moore's best-selling memoir about his three years in some of Thailand's most infamous jails is a harshly immersive experience

This is grisly, visceral, often unwatchably brutal stuff: what seems like a moment-by-moment depiction of an unspeakable ordeal.
