A monstrous man murders a pregnant lady and cuts out and eats a fetus in this lovely gem from Italian schlockmeister D'Amato.

i got this movie along with some other so called "cult" classics at a yard sale for 50 cents a peace and i must say....in a way.... I WANT MY MONEY BACK! its so dull it takes fucking forever for some thing to happen i mean it has good moments at the end but god fucking damn! it takes forever to get there! i guess i cant complain since media blaster dvds arnt that cheap at the mall...but fuck....only good thing on it is the docu and the trailers for OTHER movies

This one has a little notoriety landing itself (along w/ its sequel) on the Video Nasty list but I found it to be a bit dull. It starts off well enough w/ a meat clever to the head but you could skip ahead about 50 minutes until you get any of the goods again. There's only two real scenes of gruesomeness w/ a fetus being eaten; ripped from its mother the hard way not via C-section & the intestine munching @ the end. I think this is only available in Britain w/ 3 minutes of cuts so I would figure you would basically get about nothing except boredom. Joe D'Amato know more for his pornography should have spiced things up a little bit w/ some sex.

I REALLY didnt expect to like this movie at all.I thought it was gonna be another bad Italian zombie flick but I was suprised how good it was.I can see why it was banned in so many countries

supposedly, this is controversial...which is dumb. nothing really shocking happens until the end. while the rest of the movie is slow, it does manage to get a decent atmosphere going as you head into the end violence. i suppose most folks are offended by the scene with a fetus being ripped out of a mother's womb and then bitten into...i was most offended by the orange blood in the water in the first few minutes. unless his victim bled tang, that's unacceptable, dang it.
