Brilliantly, heart warming. Ian Hart is one of my fave actors and he continues to be so in light of his fab performance. Nice ears! Young lad very good too in it. Quite moving at times. I cried which i don't very often at films.

This is a beautiful heartwarming film which made me feel a whole host of emotions. I would wholeheartedly recommend this film to people of all ages and will be going again upon its release with my friends.

Shot adroitly, and combining Leone-esque close-ups with long tracking shots of the various urban and rural locations, the film prioritises the ambiguity of emotional ties over expository melodrama.

another Brittish success. It's odd how we excel in making the same type of film, let's be honest they are not usually a barrell of laughs. They always seem to a bit depressing. Often a troubled family in a rainy part of the North but they are also often damn good stories with highly underrated actors, like this one. They beat the spots off all the stupid cockney gangster/hooligan movies that seem to be churned out one after the other.
