awesome adventure movie with an amazing cast including the inimitable Peter Lorre. and effects that hold up today. Even the squid!

One of the best live action Disney movies. It's smart but also funny and amazing. Impeccable in the writting and the dialogues, giving us beautiful speeches, and detailed edition that amaze us with great special effects. A movie ahead of it's time.

[font=Times New Roman][size=4]A classic that holds up well. I didn't like the "musical" part of it (thankfully it was brief) - why do these 1950's movies think they need music? Anyways, I thought Kirk Douglas's character was too silly but the special effects were remarkably well done considering the age of the movie. Also, Nemo wasn't half as "evil" as I had assumed he was. He actually seemed to be on a half-dose of Prozac. As with all "older" movies, the pace was at times a tad slow but overall held my interest.[/size][/font]

well umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch...its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...i think that carleton young, james mason, jules vern, peter lorre, paul lukas, kirk douglas, ted decorsia, robert j wilke play good roles/parts throughout this movie..i think that the director of this fantasy/action/adventure movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect thorughout this movie..i think that the fight scenes, the gun shoot outs were pretty kewl throughout this movie...its a good 1950's movie 2 watch with a good cast throughout this movie..its a classic movie 2 watch

Excellent movie, I loved everything about this. The colors and visuals were amazing and the entire cast was perfect. James Mason, Paul Lukas, Kirk Douglas, Peter Lorre, they all ruled. Great music and good action, I'm so glad I finally saw this. My only tiny flaw with the film was when they got the island with the cannibals, it seemed underwritten and it happened too quickly. But I realize it needed to be in the film in order to get to the next point in the story. But nevertheless, this was a great adventure film and a lot of fun.
