Perhaps Disney's finest live action film---a truly rousing science fiction adventure with great effects, stunning production design, and lots of pure star power from Mason and Douglas. Freely adapted from Jules Verne's classic novel from the 19th century.

A gripping epic adventure and cinematic triumph. Too have seen this film in 1954 would have been mind blowing. The special effects are better than today's CGI bullshit. 5-Star entertainment!

If Disney calls the Lion King a classic, then I have no clue what to call this; its older and better. My favorite Jules Vern book adaptation. The remakes will never do this movie justice.

Awesome movie for all ages. Captures the imagination of all who view it. Great classics just don't age. Some of the explosions look a little poor but this movie is the same age as my dad and he's special effects aren't any better...Just Watch it
