This movie really stuck with me. It's a disturbing subject and it comes off not as a hollywood movie, but how you'd think things would really go. The acting was very good and it's a surprise that more people haven't seen this.

I realize that many Flixster members are near the age of the characters in the movie and wouldn't appreciate the great story, great acting and flawless character development. Too bad there isn't a sequel because even though the story has a resolution, you want to keep watching the characters

great movie. A new age Stand By Me. One of the best coming of age movies made in a long time. A somewhat melancholy view on growing up.

I've made many of my friends (including my Psychology teacher) see this film because it's so terrific. It's one of my all-time favs.

Such an amazing movie. My god. So many powerful scenes with extremely good acting by these young kids. I reallly don't even know ow to describe how intense this is at times, but if you have a chance to see this, don't miss, it's that damn good.
