Though she's ultimately the second star after her director-who, from the tidy visual design to the odd soundscape, creates an almost annoyingly hermetic world-it's Côté that lets the whole thing breathe.

In Lafleur's third outing, we observe the goings-on of a bored girl during a dull summer. The results are frustratingly obvious and amateurish, gleefully purposeless, and sporadically funny. But, "Tu dors Nicole" is also dreamy and pleasant in it's subtleties.
