Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort (2014)

A sudden and mysterious inheritance brings Danny and his friends to Hobb Springs, a forgotten resort deep in the West Virginia hills. Hobb Springs is being looked after under the watchful care of Jackson and Sally, a socially awkward couple who introduce Danny to the long lost family he's never known. A clan by the name of Hillicker. But soon Danny learns his relatives have a different way of living, that for generations, the Hillickers have observed ancient traditions rooted in cannibalism and other taboo rituals.

Dear directors, please note that abysmal acting and stilted dialogue will invariably destroy your movie. As such, please concentrate on coaxing credible performances from your actors.

Interesting storyline and bloody enough with more nudity and perverseness this time around. According to my favourite Wrong Turn films from best to worst which is part 2, 4, 1, 5, and 3, I would say this falls in just between part 5 and 3. The pacing here is pretty slow as it tries to focus more with the storyline which is quite interesting but still not much of a surprise anyway except some weird sex scenes and lots of nudity making it seems like watching a soft porn film here. The GORES here pretty much live up to standard of this film series with some creative ones but it would require you some patience and time before you get to have fun with that. It also has some decent performance as well as some really cheesy and hilariously poor acting with some jumpy SCARES here and there. Overall despite its somewhat more interesting plot and featuring the most nudity scenes of any film in the series, there's still not enough gleeful violence, gores, and thrills to surpass most of its previous films in this series [C+]

Not only the worst-by-far installment in the Wrong Turn series, but likewise quite possibly one of the weakest horror movies ever made, Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort doesn't even have the decency to live up to its title thanks to the presence of an unlikable protagonist, an unattractive cast of supporting characters and a derivative plot that fails to do anything with its stolen material to be forgiven for its blatant imitation.
