A sudden and mysterious inheritance brings Danny and his friends to Hobb Springs, a forgotten resort deep in the West Virginia hills. Hobb Springs is being looked after under the watchful care of Jackson and Sally, a socially awkward couple who introduce Danny to the long lost family he's never known. A clan by the name of Hillicker. But soon Danny learns his relatives have a different way of living, that for generations, the Hillickers have observed ancient traditions rooted in cannibalism and other taboo rituals.

A different format to the series was brought and it didn't really succed getting away from the original point of the series while also returning a small amount of the original movies.

Earlier versions bad, this one worse still. Save the 90 minutes of your life and do something else instead. Even watching paint drying would be better than watching this.

You know, you would think that a film series about a group of canabalistic mountain men wouldn't have the steam for six films. Well, clearly you're wrong on that one. Better than the few before it with some creative gore for horror fans.
