[b]Mad Hot Ballroom[/b] >> B >> Cute, funny, and touching. [b]Love Me If You Dare[/b] >> B >> Engaging, comical at times, heartfelt... if a bit predictable. [b]Winter Solstice[/b] >> B+ >> Realistic, shows the quiet after-effects of a family tragedy... [b]Red Eye[/b] >> D+ >> Suspenseful at infrequent times, cliched plot, uninteresting characters, and over before you know it. Cillian Murphy (sp?) plays a pretty good bad guy though.

Too sensitive for this world or any other, this stifling portrait of a family stuck in bereavement offers the painful sight of at least two highly accomplished actors frozen for lack of direction from novice writer-director Josh Sternfeld.

Quiet but tautly acted film about a father and two sons moving on after the death of their wife/mother in dull, suburban New Jersey. The obvious rebellion issues ensue as dad (Anthony LaPaglia) loses touch and control with this sones (Aaron Stanford and Mark Webber). Complicating matters is dad's budding relationship with new neighbor (Allison Janney). Nothing new here, but worth catching.
