nice drama about a man who gets out from prison and finds his sons abandoned. good acting and nicely done.

Dexter Fletcher's directorial debut sets a high benchmark. Well worth investing a few hours in. Excellently acted and the gritty British drama style much loved with roots all the way back to the kitchen sink.

Perennial UK character actor Dexter Fletcher comes up trumps with his first directorial effort, a charming and utterly compelling working-class drama set within London's Olympic hinterlands. Charlie Creed-Mills puts in a subtle but powerful performance as the ex-con rediscovering his morality through his estranged children (played with utter conviction by Will Poulter and Sammy Williams). It moves at a confident and relaxed pace, its emotional surge buoyed by a sympathetic script packed with sparkling dialogue and sly humour right up to its explosive and tear-jerking finale. With films such as The Veteran, Harry Brown and Kill List re-igniting interest in post-Nick Love kitchen sink drama, Wild Bill is part of the new wave presently re-configuring the UK film landscape. Highly recommended.
