I'm not so sure about this one. Clint is at the top of his game and delivers a bunch of classic lines but the rest of the movie is a bit iffy. I was slightly engaged and never really thought about turning it off, that's probably a good thing. Pretty decent.

A very underrated film. Clint Eastwood acts his ass off, a very tight story, interesting.

I was pretty excited to watch this film being a fan of both Eastwood and John Huston (whom it's based on). I was very disappointed. Eastwood should have just directed and cast someone else to play the main role, it wasn't quite right for him.

One of Eastwood' most underrated films, a confidently directed and performed tale of obsession with a fairly adept John Huston impression by Eastwood. Very strong film.

Walking a fine line between being a masterpiece and a dogs dinner, this movie strays into the latter, though giving some historical illumination to the movie-making process as it was in the 1950s. A white elephant.
