Even a short film this early on in Shane Meadows career shows his potential, it's just shot so well. Similar to Small time, it's far from being a perfect finished product, but it was interesting to see his early work.

A great twist on the Kurosawa technique, great performances (Meadow's himself hamming up rather well) and nice scratchy direction, this is an up-beat awards-baiting film that showcases Meadows' unique Cinematic and streetwise sensibilities.
