Calvin Campbell is a former professional baseball player sent to an early retirement due to his panic attacks at the plate. Even though he had all the talent for the big leagues, he struggles with the curveballs life has thrown him. Today, he mindlessly sleepwalks through his days and the challenge of raising his teenager daughter. His life is in a slow downward spiral when it is suddenly awakened and invigorated by the most unlikely person – Produce, a young-man with Down syndrome who works at the local grocery store.

I may be biased but both my wife and I really enjoyed this movie. It can be predictable but not overly so. The final scenes from the hospital to the ball field can be guessed at, and if someone has paid attention to the trailers and documentaries, can be known. That said, if you get to the end and don't have a tear or two, you don't have a heart. As for me being biased? I have a son with Down Syndrome and both my wife and I have very high hopes for him as he gets older. We hope and believe he's a capable as the young man that played Produce in this film.

Where Hope Grows is remarkably real and inspirational film. It walks unashamedly through the characters transformation of a gritty life. my wife and I were pleasantly surprised at how most of the journey seemed mostky natural with only a few disjointed moments. I should hope to see some if the acting acknowledged next award season. some of the directorial cinematography choices seek to carry the audience into the characters shifting perspectives with relative success. It's worth watching and learning from. thank you

Went to see this with a group--- and so thankful we did! Finally a positive movie-- well written from multiple angles! Will be buying this as soon as it comes out on dvd! :)

Nice change for once!!!! Loved the message and loved the actors! The lead actor with Down syndrome was REALLY funny without being the punchline of any jokes. Loved him!!!!

Another great Christian themed movie that is a must see. The young man with Down's syndrome did an amazing job and the acting overall fueled a solid storyline. Go check this film out.
