the total outlook of the movie seems like its from two decades ago. The language and the characterisation is convincing. Amrita Rao, Ila Arun and Shreyas performs finely. Ila Arun deserves special mention.

a nice and simple movie. But one does not know whether this is a comedy or a satire. I guess Shyam Benegal tried to touch too many subjects within the short time. Ila Arun was great.

excellent, surprising portrayal of village life in all its complexities and issues. shreyas talpade is a gem.

Nothing too good and extraordinary about the movie. Shreyas Talpade has made the movie atleast worth a watch. There is an actual depiction of rural India in the movie - thanks to Benegal. The movie also tries to throw light on social issues in the rural India, but the message does not get crystal clear. It was overall a good try, but could have been a little better. Recommended for a one time watch
