Usually, I wouldn't comment on a film that I haven't seen all the way through, however three songs in with only one of them being of the time the film is supposed to be set - I'd had enough.. completely unconvincing (see Chase and Status' Blind Faith music video for a template next time)

I loved it, but then I probably would have. It's my bag, it's my thing, I was there. It is not a bad representation of how the early rave scene was. Setting raves up all innocent just to party and then nutters trying take them over and scare the shit out of everyone. This did happen a lot in the Manchester area. The only real silly moment for me is the Ibiza scene. It didn't really fit in with the rest of the movie. It's not exactly going to take Human Traffics crown, but for me the soundtrack is way better, and on me surround sound last night it was mint. Brilliant

This is certainly no Human Traffic but it has a few highs, the musical memories will give you much more of a buzz than the generic plot and characters.

The perennial problem with party films is that the viewer is made to feel a wallflower, looking on from the sidelines, and director Karl Golden does nothing to dispel that sense of distance here.
