Wow. That's all that comes to mind after watching this movie. It was a beautiful film. The use of animation instead of real life was brilliant. It is essentially a documentary about a filmmaker who was in the Israeli Army who travels around interviewing other Israeli Army vets and hearing their stories about the war. It was just beautiful.

Wow! I have never in my entire life seen anything like this movie before. The greatest animation ever, the greatest documentary ever. I expected a dry, doctoral dissertations with a bunch of people talking as archival film footage played. I was in for a surprise with this. One word to sum up this original, creative, heartful, emotional, breathtaking piece of art: Powerful! The geatest insult this movie ever faced was that it didn't win the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film of the Year. Academy, I am shamed by you.

Magnificent film of self discovery with great animation to boot. I really loved this flick and the music score is terrific as well. Check it out!

such a good film, filled with amazing animation rather than reenactments of the events from memory. a really amazing film with a great climax
