A different anti-war film where everyone is abbetor in the war crime either you are standing on the rear doing nothing(?).

Waltz With Bashir is an innovative fusion of dreamlike animation and documentary style filmmaking with a brilliant soundtrack fused of orchestra, eurotrance, and punk rock. A detective story that plays out like a psychological tragedy, it is beautiful and haunting. Ari Folman is daring in his acceptance of the personal responsibility of participating in war. The final shots of actual documentary footage are a visceral kick in the gut. You the viewer, once uncovering the truth, wish to sink back into amnesiac ignorance because the horrible realities of war--once experienced--are a nightmare from which one cannot awaken. A brilliant film.

A surreal and haunting interpretation of one man's journey to recall his lost memories as a soldier in the Lebanon War. "Waltz with Bashir" is truly a one-of-a-kind film...with animation so strikingly visceral and narratives so poignant, you'll be fascinated by every image and every word. The ending, while sullen, is an ingenious dose of reality on the horrors of war. A must-see for anyone who appreciates films with a groundbreaking edge.
