Basically a light, character driven, "Pulp Fiction". It could have been absolutely awful affair if not for stellar performances by Gandolfini, Ronan and at times, even Bledel. This ultra comical premise is thoroughly contrasted through a series of dark themes and complex character study. The setting may have alluded to a violent action fest but in the end it's a bitter sweet tale about a dying man and the meaning of friendship (or at least what it means for a couple of teen killers) Despite its somewhat derivative style of Tarantino's it kind of works as a sincere character drama but only as far as your interest in the protagonists would take you in the first place.

This one may be not big movie, but the talking between these two girls and when anyone of them be with James Gandolfini. I like the truly talking for many moments, that's quite touching and pity. It a little beautiful one

Sur un postulat de depart invraisemblable renvoyant a l'univers de Besson (adolescentes tueuses a gage) Violet & Daisy apres avoir lorgne chez Tarantino se resigne au huis clos inerte destine a servir un assortiment de bons sentiments. Indigne du grand James qui meritait mieux pour ses ultimes roles.

Een matige stripboeken verfilming die ondanks zijn uitstekende acteerprestaties geen juiste balans weet te vinden in realiteit en fantasie, waardoor Violet & Daisy soms wat ongemakkelijk aanvoelt en voor zijn korte speelduur best saai kan zijn.
