Set in the present where a group of ruthless gangsters, an unknown woman and an escaped convict have met, unwittingly, in The Forest of Resurrection, the 444th portal to the other side. Their troubles start when those once killed and buried in the forest come back from the dead, with the assistance of the evil Sprit that has also come back, come back from ages past, to claim his prize. The final standoff between Light and Dark has never been so cunning, so brutal and so deadly. This is where old Japanese Samurai mysticism meets the new world of the gangster and the gun. I think it should be clear that if you don't like zombies, guns, action, blood, samurais, a crazy man in a green shirt, then you wont like this movie - in which case you obviously suck.

if you havent seen this movie i dont know what the fuck your waiting for just make sure to get the unrated version. it's kick ass.

This movie has a good story but it can be very corny at times. It's worth watching the whole thing (to understand the story) just to see the last 20 minutes. The last 20 minutes are simply amazing.

now officially my favorite martial arts movie. the acting is good, for a really low budget, and the stunts are phenominal.... and it has zombies, which earns props in my book.
