So charming. Wonderful, funny, thoughtful, captivating film. Great cinematography, fantastic performance from O' Toole.

Superb simples, the acting amazing, the story sublime, O'Toole at his best followed by great actors and actresses, funny, sad and a mix bag of everything.

I am giving this movie more credit than it deserves b/c Peter O'Toole is one of my pet peeve actors and he reminds me of my grandfather, and I kept thinking about this emotional connection and could not help but bawl through the second half of the entire film. It is a great May-December romance, much better than Lost in Translation or Lolita. O'Toole is such a legend and have so much in him. It doesn't help that my grandfather is so much like him when he lived, and so the tears came as they may. The next time I see this will be also by myself and with two full boxes of Kleenex (again).

A very British movie. Not much going on, but at the same time so much is happening. Fantastic performances from the whole cast. Highly recommended!
