A little less convincing on the part where a single student getting huge attention.

In Unexpected we're shown two Chicagoans living their everyday lives, only to be struck with news that will change them forever-they're pregnant. Despite being on opposite sides of the spectrum, a friendship is formed between teacher and student as they go through the stages together. Thumbs up to Cobie Smulders and Gail Bean, who portray the aforementioned duo that makes this watchable. It won't be your favorite, but at the very least you'll enjoy this unexpected indie hit.

It shows you can find humor in supportive relationships and maturity in the handling of complications, even when they fall specifically at the act three mark.

A small but charming movie that serves as another excellent showcase for Cobie Smulders in her post TV sitcom movie career along with Results from earlier on in the year. Anders Holm and Gail Bean also are great and the screenplay is pretty nice too.
