Enjoyable family movie, hard to beat the glorious Auckland scenery. Rangitoto is a cool place for adventures!!!

it is a remake but strong enough 2 stand on its own. and Sam is right he is not a shorts man . to under stand that look out the original. made in New Zealand

Okay, how many times can we say the word twins in this movie? I lost cound after about 100. Stupid "twin powers" I felt like I was watching the wonder twins and the brother apparently won't believe becasue he gets to turn into stupid things. Seriously sick of the stupid twin powers BS.

this movie was by far the worst ive seen all year around, music and visual look very cheap and the story wasn't so great either. got bored about half way and just skipped to various parts for the rest of the movie =(

Fairly entertaining adaptation of the classic New Zealand book about two redheaded twins who are sent to live with their cousin after the death of their mother. There, they draw the attention of the sinister Wilberforce clan and have their inner powers unleashed by a mysterious old man (the dependable Sam Neill) who recruits them in his mission to destroy the evil creatures that live within the city's many dormant volcanoes. Decent film is good looking and inoffensive for the most part, though effects are rather uneven and the story is fairly straight forward without any surprises.
