I know that this movie may me historically inaccurate and that really bugs me being a history geek, I also think it's a good thriller. I love my war movies.

I could care less about it's historical inaccuracies. It has Bon Jovi in it.

If you think that the subject of a submarine fighting destroyers has been overused, you may need to reconsider your opinion: The magic of modern special effects (used intelligently) really makes a difference. Apart from that this is a very well done movie which shows how responsibility can change a man into a better person. One last remark: avoid this film if you are claustrophobic

This is the best sub movie I have ever seen. It is absolutely terrific. McConaughey is great and the action and story are delivered well.
