well umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch...its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...i think that both kirk douglas n martin sheen play good parts throughout this movie...i also think that both chales durning n katherine ross play good parts as well throughout this movie...i think that the director of this drama/sci-fi/fantasy/action/adventure/cult classics movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie...its a good 1980's movie 2 watch n its enjoyable 2 watch

Hard to believe this excellent movie came out in 1980, It was really enjoyable then and still enjoyable today. Great to see the carrier ops from 1980 time frame which haven't change much except for the aircraft on board the carrier. The Nimitz time travels back to the day before pearl harbor an is drawn into battle with Japan, well almost. 5 stars 9-18-12

It's a great movie, shows the capability of the United States Navy, creates a realistic view of what can be done if time travel was achieved and makes one think about what the possible consequences would be for changing past events...if they would of blown the japanese fleet out of the water, its a pretty good chance that many of the advanced fighters as well as the ships might not have been developed...

Aircraft carrier is transported back in time to the eve of Pearl Harbour attack. Classic time-travel dilemma of whether to intervene or allow events to take their natural course. Blue Underground did great job on the dvd release.
