Trick or Treat (1986)

Eddie Weinbauer, a metalhead teen who is bullied at school, looks to his heavy metal superstar idol, Sammi Curr, for guidance. When Curr is killed in a hotel fire, Eddie becomes the recipient of the only copy of his unreleased album, which, when played backwards, brings the rocker back to life. As Halloween approaches, Eddie begins to realize that this isn't only rock 'n roll...It's life and death.

There is something about a kid trying make it in this bully infested world-atorium that gets me rooting for them. I love this movie. 1/1/2009 This is movie 7 of a metal horror movie marathon I fell asleep, but I still love it! I like that my garage looks like Eduardo Weinbauer's room. I need a picture of Sammi Curr! I don't know why people don't find Marc Price convincing as Eddie, I actually didn't realize there was a debate. I think he is excellent

A very guilty pleasure. Ignore the current DVD cover featuring Ozzy and Gene - they're hardly in it - it matters not. Great soundtrack, good horror and some fine black comedy. Death to false metal!!

One of the few films out there with a Fastway soundtrack and Ozzy in a brief role as a fundie preacher - if that doesn't make you want to see it, nothing will.
