Trick or Treat (1986)

Eddie Weinbauer, a metalhead teen who is bullied at school, looks to his heavy metal superstar idol, Sammi Curr, for guidance. When Curr is killed in a hotel fire, Eddie becomes the recipient of the only copy of his unreleased album, which, when played backwards, brings the rocker back to life. As Halloween approaches, Eddie begins to realize that this isn't only rock 'n roll...It's life and death.

Long live the power of VHS and heavy metal. Trick or Treat spells 'FUN' with an awesome story of fandom, satanism, and the power of 80s music. [Full review in Spanish].

Now this is a good movie that I think a whole lot of people either haven't seen or never knew existed. but if you get the chance to see it i suggest go for it. Marc Price from tv's Family Ties stars as the nerd who is being bullied in school and only has his rock n roll god so to speak to turn to. Well much like his life his idol untimely dies in a fire which gives him the idea to get the rock n roller's spirit ressurected to hand out some much needed payback. Gene Simmons and Ozzy Ozbourne do hilarious cameos in this with a great booming soundtrack by Fastway. would be great to find this on original format of dvd yet alone blu ray for that matter.

One of my "secret weapon" movies to show friends or dates. As a metal fan this movie was just amazing to watch, and as a bad horror fan it's just as good. Look for all his kickass posters and LP's (for all the kids, an LP is a vinyl disc with grooves in it that you spin against a needle and play music on) :-P
