if it wasnt for how boring the begging was this could a have been a fantastic movie because of all the twists at the end however there is only so much a good ending can do

Trap for Cinderella is a interesting, dramatic, but confusing film about child hood friends reconnecting after years. Problems come and go and it switches through past and present (which makes it more confusing). Identity switch over and over again in the plot making it become more confusing and confusing by the minute. The plot is confusing, the problem is confusing and even the title if confusing. How if this related to Cinderella? On the other hand, this movie has great casting and a great setting. I suggest this to people who wants a interesting, and dramatic movie but has time to go back and rewind a couple times to understand the plot.

The movie would be much more interesting if Iain Softley didn't put too much focus on the so-so (and not very logical) plot twists.

Ian Softley is far too interested in the minutia of the plot to bother with the Chabrolian elements of bourgeois excess or the Hitchcockian themes of mistaken identity.
