*1/2 (out of four) There are a couple of real laughs that slip in on a rare occasion, but that's about it. "Transylmania" tries its best to be a comic spoof and a wacky cult hit. But it is painfully obvious that it is trying too hard. The result is a film that has zero focus and is all over the place in its stupidity. A group of undersexed and overly horny college kids decide to move to a rural college for a semester in Romania. Once they arrive they wonder a bit when their first class teaches them about slaying vampires. The confusion grows when one of the guys also happens to look exactly like the head vampire. The film tries borrowing from the best. It is something like Mel Brooks might have done in the 1970's, but without the laughs. It also borrows from the Marx Brothers, directly lifting the comic mirror segment from "Duck Soup". But it here, again, it misses the wit and originlity it needs.

transylmania falls under the dull and unfunny spoof movie category. epic movie, date movie, vampires suck, etc. the only good thing about this movie is that it had some boobs and some good looking girls, but thats about it. the story line was campy and the dialogue, especially from the women, was annoying. none of the characters caught my eye nor did anything memorable. overall its a very stupid movie that never really had any potential to begin with.

NOt even funny I watched half of this crap and It was stupid I only laughed at a few parts in the movie, but this parody sucks I agree with the critics on this one
