While on safari in an unexplored area of Africa, Trader Horn and Peru find missionary Edith Trent killed by natives. They decide to carry on her quest for her lost daughter Nina. They find her as the queen of a particularly savage tribe, and try to bring her back to civilization.

Known for producing some of the best wildlife footage of its time, Trader Horn unfortunately decides to give us a story line as well. It's a white man defeats the jungle sort of inappropriate thing.

The first drama filmed on location in Africa. Racist and very dated but my relative, Edwina Booth, shows up with flaring nostrils halfway through so I have to mention it!

The primitive state of sound film and location shooting mar an otherwise solid jungle adventure. Despite the murky production values and dated melodrama, itâ(TM)s a lively story with some interesting semi-authentic footage of the wilds of Africa. Despite its flaws, an ambitious and influential classic.
