Brilliantly acted and even a little campy at times due to cliche, Torn Curtain is a wonderful politically charged Cold War thriller. Paul Newman's double agent is astounding, as is Julie Andrews's puzzled love interest.

One of my favourite Hitchcocks! I see chemistry between Newman and Andrews! Really people when did Newman ever not deliver an impeccable performance! Not only am I a Hitchcock fan, but have seen everything Paul Newman ever worked in. He was flawless in all setting a very high bar which few contemporary actors have cleared!

One of the less popular Hitchcock pictures where Paul Newman and Julie Andrews star. Newman and Andrews were two actors who Hitchcock apparently didn't original want. I felt that it ended up working well with the two. Hollywood stars, traitors, spies, bombs, suspense, murder, and communists. All you could ask for in a classic thriller!

A favorite. Would love to be in a remake of this movie someday. High suspense...I think the acting is done well. The Gromek murder scene is a great on-screen documentation of killing someone and how hard it is. I think it's one of Paul Newman's best performances. And its nice to see Julie Andrews in a dramatic role. Favorite exchange: Michael: After all she still is my girl. Sarah: Put that in the past tense.
