It was so stupidly funny that my abs got a workout. It was obviuosly a parody of those old kung fu movies and I say it was brilliantly done. Tongan Ninja will always be a classic to me.

really horrible, I wish I liked it 'cause Jemaine Clement's in it, and I love him. But sadly, just a horrible, lame, pathetic excuse for a movie. Weak dubbed dialogue, jokes, just stupid.

Funny stuff. I'm straight as a whip, but Jemaine is really making me consider otherwise. Oh, and I liked the movie too. I will admit that it could've gone a bit farther over the top, though.

Wonderfully silly! Originally filmed without sound, the voices were all dubbed in later. Jemaine (no "R" in his name, folks) actually dubbed at least two voices: his own character Action Fighter, and Sam Manu's character Tongan Ninja. The idea was to replicate those cheesy ninja flicks with awful English dubbing, and the effect was hilarious. Among the highlights was Jemaine's uncanny performance of the opening theme in full-throttle Elvis mode. A classic of ridiculous brilliance (or brilliant ridiculousness)!
