very sweet and charming. mind you, the character of Maria really annoyed me. Incidentally I found the amount of smoking intresting, definate sign of the times

my mom made me watch this the week before i went on my senior trip to rome. at dinner one night i asked the head chaperone to please take us to trevi fountain during the day and the very next day he did it. the whole time we were walking to it and while we were actually at the fountain i couldnt help but continually sing frank sinatra's song. "three coins in the fountain, each one seeking happiness, thrown by three hopeful lovers, which one will the fountain bless..."

I watched this movie because my mother told me that a very young Rossano Brazzi was in it. I also found a very young Louis Jordan. This movie also started the current practice of tossing coins into fountains, so my mother told me. I enjoyed each of the storylines, except for the one with Louis Jordan. I am a romantic, and would have liked to think that the girl chasing him was in at least in love with him, not after his money, which was my impression. I could be wrong, but overall, I liked it very much, and would love to see it again.

This very Hollywood, not entirely sensical love Triangle set in the city of love Rome. Full of cutesy scenes & gorgeous scenery & ultimately is a satisfying Romantic Comedy. It's amazing how many elements of Rom Com's are still intact today & something's never change. It's a predictable film but lets be honest that's what we love about them.

Such a cute, fluffy film. Clifton Webb is always incredible to watch, and as usual steals the film from the other leads. Louis Jourdan is also a treat to watch and listen too. The film makes wonderful use of the setting, showcasing it to its fullest. A real date movie.
