The excellent performances power the movie along, and when it hits the mark, Thoroughbreds is superb.

Strong performances. Cleverly directed too. The story is told with the philosophy that you don't have to show everything in order to tell everything; let the audience do some work and by design tease their curiosity and interest.

If you ever get the chance to watch this amazingly dark, twisted and unpredictable thriller including lots of great performances and tense scenes, please do. I watched it with boxxy software and not disappointed.

Very Kubrickian, very Hitchcokian, very gooood. Love the pace and structure of how disturbingly unnerving this film descends toward the end while maintaining this dry, vile wit between Anya Taylor-Joy & Olivia Cooke. They play off each other's roles in such an unpleasant, yet oddly quirky friendship that I could still empathize with both on some level. Hat's off to Anton Yelchin, too, for his final performance (rest in peace).
