What an amazing movie!! I don't know if people didn't get it or they didn't want to think while watching a movie. I loved this film!

A very cynical version of the plot to a Douglas Adams book. The protagonist is tasked with finding the answer to everything. If your a Gilliam fan this is a good movie and i see it becoming a cult classic right up there with movies like Big Trouble in Little China or Time Bandits. Not perfect but this movie will be watched years from now fondly while many higher rated movies will be long forgotten.

a really cool and fun movie. wonderful script. Amazing execution by the master of the Surreal, Terry Gilliam. Once again he has created an amazing dystopian future-scape. He's got computer worlds within worlds. Lots of humor just in the sets and design. available on amazon or iTunes. It was well worth the $13. I'm sure I'll be watching it again many times. It's kept me thinking about it too. was even better the second time.

This year of our inevitable nonexistence 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy was way overhyped, and The Zero Theorem was way under-appreciated.

Terry Gilliam hits the nail on the head with the concept of 'the meaning of life'. A very thought provoking movie, deserving of recognition.
