This melodrama from the 50's is a great showcase for some of the actors including paul newman and robert vaughn. The story is real engaging and what these characters goes through is a bit soap opera-ish but you can't help but watch.

A great soap opera love story, starring Paul Newman as the young lawyer trying to make good, with Barbara Rush as his love interest. Robert Vaughn gives a memorable hammy performance as the troubled friend. With Diane Brewster, Brian Keith, Alexis Smith, John Williams, Billie Burke and Richard Deacon. Good courtroom scene at the end with a plot twist; an inspiring, entertaining and compelling story.

The Young Philadelphians is an amazing film. It is about young lawyer Anthony Lawrence who faces several ethical and emotional dilemmas as he climbs the Philadelphia social ladder. Paul Newman and Babara Rush give fantastic performances. The screenplay is well written. Vincent Sherman did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the drama. The Young Philadelphians is a must see.
