An utterly boring and unartful piece of CCP propaganda masquerading as a film. Terrible CGI as per usual with Chinese productions, flat one dimensional characters who's sole purpose is to make China look heroic, and an utterly laughable plot and premise that make no sense whatsoever and has so many plot holes you'd think you were watching a piece of swiss cheese. Seriously, ALL the 10/10 reviews are from Chinese bots, as it's well known the CCP has such thin skin they pay armies of trolls to review bomb their marquee propaganda "Films" on wester review sites as they're terrified the world will see how utterly crap their cinema really is. The first film in this series was arguably the worst film I've ever watched. This one gives it a good run for it's money.

After hearing great reviews by friends from China, I watched this movie to its entirety even though it was so bad. Ignoring the expected propaganda and nationalistic overtones, the plot is disparate and illogical at best. The best part of this movie is the well-produced special effects and occasional good acting. Even the star power of Andy Lau could not save this movie from how bad it is. Giving a very generous 2 stars for the special effects.

LMAO these negative reviews be like "USA saves the world good good, China saves the world bad bad". If all you see from the movie is "CCP blahblahblah" then YOU are the one that has been brainwashed.

Somehow, The Wandering Earth II never feels tonally unbalanced or narratively convoluted, partly because Gwo and his collaborators keep their movie’s plot focused on feats of action-adventure heroism.

The Wandering Earth II is even bigger, more sprawling and more daffy in its Big Science. It’s got a few first act jokes before turning somber, dogged and yet never fatalistic. It’s also more cluttered and more pointed in its Chinese messaging. So naturally it’s almost an hour longer than the two hour original.
