I think this movie is a little unfairly bashed. I do think there are some sloppy parts to the story, but it has so much character and originality. The use of color is beautiful and the score is breathtaking. I'll admit that I was very excited for this movie when it was released, and found the twist ending to be a little off-putting, but the more I watch it, the more I accept the twist and enjoy the film for what it is.

Night is brilliant. Any movie he makes I will go see, buy and study. He always foreshadows his endings but yet we never see it coming. This movie comments on America's current culture of fear and represents one of the great works of art to come from America's current dark age. Genius writing!!!
