Freddie Highmore always reminds me of Asa Butterfield, since they both always play the same quirky guy. So it's very difficult to pay attention to him when he wants to be something else, and this for the mere fact that he just can't do it. To create tension and excitement you need a pulsating rhythm, and Balagueró can't do it. And to make matters worse, his cast doesn't help him because their performances are so unconvincing. it's a no from me.

Unlike Glass Onion (2022), The Vault has relatable characters I cared about. Pacing, direction and acting are all 100% committed. It's genre is "serious caper;" yet, it has enough humor it's not stodgy or dull. I did NOT see nor was bothered by plot holes other critics complained of. Committing to your characters often beats plot holes.

From the trailer the story seemed like a great plot. Unfortunately the mediocre story telling stopped me from watching it halfway through. I do like the cast tho.

A Tale Of Two Movies The first half of the film grabs your interest with intrigue and slick production, but too many holes in the script later, loses you. It's a gorgeously shot caper film, but tries too hard to be cool, and someone should have spent more time plugging those story holes, as one's interest drains by the end.

Boring AF. My wife and I gave up at less than 20 minutes in. WAY too slow, no real grab that far in means not worth my time considering how long the movie is.
