Leon Bronstein is not your average Montreal West high school student. For one thing, none of his peers can claim to be the reincarnation of early 20th century Soviet iconoclast and Red Army hero, Leon Trotsky. When his father sends Leon to public school as punishment for starting a hunger strike at Papa's clothing factory, Leon quickly lends new meaning to the term 'student union', determined as he is to live out his pre-ordained destiny to the fullest and change the world.

Handful of gags fall flat and those who can only handle low doses of Barchuel may grow tired of his shtick, but it's a curiously enjoyable experience and educational, too.

Funny film and some terrific lines. Audience at advance screening laughed a lot. Wonderful to see so many great Canadian actors on screen - Jay Baruchel, Saul Rubinek, Colm Feore, and lovely to see Genevievde Bujold. Jay Baruchel is in top form again. Could have used more editing in the last half - couple of scene changes were awkard, but overall well worth seeing.

Ahahah, film davvero molto divertente, una rivoluzione di studenti annoiati animati da un pazzo esalta-nte! Ben diretto, riesce a non superare la soglia del grottesco grazie a una sceneggiatura intelligente, acuta e in stile...Consigliato!
