Coogan and Brydon, building their performances largely through improvisation, have such rapport that it's easy to digest their brand of affectionate chatter laced with mildly mean-spirited ribbing.

Really enjoyable film about two comedy actors (but it played just like a road trip between two talented comedians). Really enjoyable. Reminded me sort of the same vibe as the movie Sideways, but with actual funny parts and less horseshit about wine. As you get to know the characters more and more the laughs become bigger and bigger.

So it's two guys traveling, eating and talking. Doesn't sound like much. But it's terrific.

I saw the original 6-part series, it's very engaging-- funny and melodramatic at times. The Brydon impressions can get a bit overbearing, especially because they're used as recurring gags. Coogan is a revelation playing himself, a man in search of purpose and legacy in an otherwise bright but bland existence.

Truly funny and bittersweet road trip between a couple of very engaging guys.
