Pleasantly surprised with this film. I wasn't sure what to expect but there are some very entertaining moments as well as a movie that keeps its energy throughout the film. I was presently surprised after seeing this.

Yet another neglected, forgotten classic, screaming out for a DVD release. Lucio Fulci did the gore effects for it. Unknown to all but serious 80s horror enthusiasts. Based on the HP Lovecraft story Color Out of Space.

Meteor lands on the farm of a God fearing cranky pants and his step son starts noticing it pulsating at night, oozing into the ground and the water supply. Soon the fruit and vegetables are growing so quick, although rotten to the core and the animals are starting to go crazy. Mother has some weird pimple like sores on her face, she also is slowly going mad. It's up to Wil Wheaton to get to the bottom of this. Some gross out moments, hammy acting, and a silly premise supposedly based on a H.P. Lovecraft story. It's ok.

As Lovecraft adaptions go, "The Curse" deserves some credit for being relatively faithful to the original story ("The Colour Out of Space".) Unfortunately, the movie itself just isn't very good, mostly due to bad acting, and a few terribly dislikeable characters.
