Fabulous film! In Arabic with English subtitles at the Abu Dhab Film Festival. A heartwarming tale of tradition vs modernity. Strong female characters. Would see again!

Cansadas de esta situación y lideradas por una joven culta, inteligente y formada en el Islam, deciden liderar una huelga de amor. No habrá cariño ni gestos de ternura, ni relaciones, si los hombres no encuentran una manera de traer agua al pueblo // . In a small village in a desert zone between Africa and the Middle East, women have to obtain water from a mountaintop spring, which has caused that some of them have lost their babies as they had to go to the top of it, risking their lives. Leila will leader a strike of love, in order to demand from men other measures to make men run water into the village.
