What a magnificent film this is. Brilliantly acted, moving, deep. To be sure, it's not for anyone who needs a movie to be fast paced. But if you can slow down and appreciate character development and some real human emotion, this is probably something you should see. The flashbacks were masterfully woven. It's so easy to lose people's history as they age. That was looked at here, along with some profound wisdom around the stories we tell about our lives As I say, not for everyone. But for those who might write in a similar voice to me, see this. You'll be happy you did.

We throughly enjoyed this movie. A great love story.

The melodrama alone conveys the writer's conviction that even in old age one's understanding of life can be swept away in an instant.

Director Ritesh Batra's camera is particularly adept at capturing the subtle flags that indicate that people know each other a little too well.

April Wolfe 19 Mar 2017

Batra kills the mystery part of the story and instead pushes the adaptation toward that humanism, which renders a good chunk of the plot a wash. Good thing Batra’s really adept at the human portraits, though.
