The sarcastic banter and male chemistry between Treadaway, an outstanding Iwan Rheon, Gerard Kearns and Matthew Lewis provide as much pleasure as the mechanics of the twisted revenge plot.

Called Wasteland in US and The Rise in UK, this starts off as a so-so British thriller that becomes a whole lot more memorable by the time we reach the end of the second half due to the cleverly written ending.

Above average British crime caper, Ramsay Snow from Game of Thrones, Treadaway, Spall and in particular Neil Maskell are great, the plot is not without its flaws but overall, a really enjoyable flick.

They probably should have called it "Beneath the Dignity of the Planet of the Apes," but Rise of the Planet of the Apes is tolerable if you'll just keep in mind that the original feature was an overachieving B-movie.
