Called Wasteland in US and The Rise in UK, this starts off as a so-so British thriller that becomes a whole lot more memorable by the time we reach the end of the second half due to the cleverly written ending.

A British heist movie that's well deserving of an American audience.

Despite the fact that it's all so very familiar, the past-tense storytelling allows for an unexpected twist.

My Favorite Film Is 1941's Citizen Kane.
