I'm a sucker for monster movies and this one holds up well after all these years. Well paced, builds up suspense, the chaos unleashed at the museum gala is a sequence to rival the picadilly circus carnage in American Werewolf in London. Tom Sizemore is excellent and the monster, when it is finally revealed in all its gory glory, suitably hideous. Fun. 18/8/2007

Nice stupid monster movie. While the book was way better, and yet again, the story has to be simplified for the big screen, I don't mind. Nice that the two main characters don't magically fall in love; displaying more of an early X-Files Mulder and Scully relationship instead.

liked this movie from childhood, from 1997, when i was 11 yrs old, and still now; i like this movie a lot, no matter what the rating,review,anything,. is.

One of the best monster movies ever made. I don't know why it's so under-rated here, but it is a must-see. The cast is superb, the graphics are cool and the storyline works.
