A fantastically well crafted and genuinely scary monster film, the actual explaining of the (impressively realized) creature himself is rubbish, but the set pieces, action and scares are all top notch, plus there are strong performances across the board, especially from Tom Sizemore as an amusingly gruff cop and Penelope Anne Miller as a slightly too curious for her own good biologist. A very underrated film, full of great effects and thrills galore, why it's not more heralded as the great little genre effort it is, is beyond me.

A gory old school monster on the loose throwback that still to this day provided one of my most memorable theater going experiences. They don't make em like this anymore. Stan Winston's creature remains undefeated in heavyweight grotesque fright factor.

This one was very enjoyable. Just a great 90s creature/monster flick with some really cool practical effects. Lots of gore and slime, and severed heads to go with make this horror film one to remember.
