The acting was fine, the practicals effects were very good, the CGI wasn't dreadful and the last hour was a lot of fun. As far as silly creature features go, The Relic is pretty good. If you like monster movies, you will undoubtedly appreciate this one.

What can I say, I have a soft spot for B monster movies. The film delivers plenty of scares, action, and fun. The special effects on creature were great (considering the year it was made). Like the best classic monster movies the creature is only glimpsed, building anticipation until it's revealed at the end. The acting was just where it needed to be, as was the story.
