The Purge: Anarchy (2014)

One night per year, the government sanctions a 12-hour period in which citizens can commit any crime they wish -- including murder -- without fear of punishment or imprisonment. Leo, a sergeant who lost his son, plans a vigilante mission of revenge during the mayhem. Perfect film, with things that you won't expect and plot twists

If I could sum this movie up into one word it would be "Phenomenal"!!!!! I just finished watching it and I will first say that I loved the first movie a lot but the sequel kicked everything into gear 100% more then the original. The story was better it focused on five individuals coming together to survive the night and being centered on Frank Grillo as "Sergeant". The action was Top-Notch with Tons and Tons of violence which I absolutely love. I must add that them taking the movie to the streets did it wonders and I don't ever jump in movies but there were one or two jump scares. The acting was very good but obviously the star was Frank Grillo who kicked Ass in acting and just being Awesome. I will say overall that this is a must see movie especially if you liked or loved the original then go see it Immediately and you will not be disappointed I promise you that. The best horror/thriller movie I have seen in a long long while.

This movie was awesome! All the good parts of the original expanded into a good full movie. Can't wait for the 3rd one

Let me preface this review; I did NOT see the first Purge movie! Now, with that out of the way, I am very pleased that despite my lack of viewing the first movie, I not only could follow the ot of this movie but could tell you a lot of elements from the first one. That is evidence if a believable plot even if not a realistic one... and I am a sucker for believable plots! This movie does not dissapoint in the suspense area even though the endung was set up in a far to obvious and predictive manner (I guessed the ending about 10 minutes before the ending happened which ticked off my sister). Still, given the thought put into the. rest of the movie, I can't knock the movie because, overall, it delivers on its promise of purging and anarchy!
