It is interesting that the film this inspired, My Week With Marilyn, is a superior piece of work. Prince and the Showgirl isn't a disaster, however it is far from spetacular. Monroe is likeable, as she often is but the character of the Grand Duke is too cold to really be engaging and as their romance falls flat as a result. This is a decent romantic comedy but it's no classic.

No hubiera sido lo mismo sin Marilyn!!! Un personaje encantador que desarrolla con absoluta maestrÃa. Es el alma de la pelÃcula. Lawrence olivier no tiene nada de quÃmica con ella.

Hmm. Apart from Marilyn Monroe's undeniable beauty, and gorgeous performing, I wouldn't watch this to the end. Not a Billy Wilder by any measure. It's also painfully constricted by its stage origins.

I Love the Goddess Marilyn, but she didn't seem like she was even trying in this Film, her Facial expressions never quite seemed to fit what she was saying.Their were Rumors of her being difficult on this Film, & it really shows in her lackluster performance.

I was reminded why Marilyn Monroe annoys me. She has that squeaky voice and I think she was considered great just because she had a hot body. The story is also rather dull and the actors have no chemistry.
